A Morning Stroll

Inspiration for this piece was taken from a 19th century painting of a Japanese market square scene. Both figures have paperclay heads and limbs and wool bodies over wire armatures. Madam is dressed in charcoal silk and other fabrics. Her hair is strengthened paper clay over floral wire.The overall height is 15 1/2".

A Fishy Business

This little miss is the last one to be finished for an exhibition on the 18th September.She is 13"seated, made of paperclay and a wool felted body. Her fish is paper mache and she is sitting on a small wrought iron chair.

Blue

Meet Blue-Maybe you know why I am sitting in this basket?

This little figure is seated in a covered wire basket on a block of Tasmanian Sassafras timber.

She is 11" seated,made of paperclay with a wool felted wire armatured body. The costume fabrics are kimono silk scraps and chiffon.

COMEDIE

Finished at last. Although events have conspired to slow me down I have been working on several pieces at the same time - 3/4 finished so will not be so long to the next one. Comedie is 16" high, pierrot 13 1/2", paperclay head and limbs and a wire armatured felted wool body.

AUTUMN CARNIVAL

A 13" figure with a paperclay head and lower limbs. The body is firmly needle felted wool from one of my six sheep, pets only. She was fun and easy to dress. The costume is needle felted directly onto the wool body using dyed wool,alpaca and silk threads.The overall height is 16".

Wonder

Finished Dec 2008. 11"seated.This figure has a paperclay head and lower limbs, a wire armature with a wool needle felted body and upper limbs. A bronze dragonfly has landed on the back of her hand.
