Inspiration for this piece was taken from a 19th century painting of a Japanese market square scene. Both figures have paperclay heads and limbs and wool bodies over wire armatures. Madam is dressed in charcoal silk and other fabrics. Her hair is strengthened paper clay over floral wire.The overall height is 15 1/2".
